DMZ vs Port Forwarding/Triggering

To solve NAT issues, the traditional method is Port Forwarding or Triggering.

Why not just put the Xbox IP address in a DMZ? Since consoles are hacked even if not in a DMZ, why not use that?

My XBOX360 is on the DMZ, however I still had to open Game/Application Sharing ports UDP 88, TCP & UDP 3074.

I've had this setup for a long time and suggested to many and sorted their NAT issues!
