Disk Unreadable Error.

Hey forums, I have a weird problem with my Xbox lately.

 

I finally got the update on May 23rd, and now whenever I try to start a game, ANY GAME, it will give me a Disk Unreadable error.  

 

Now the only thing I can play is my Games on Demand, (Fable 3, MW2, phantasy star universe) and my arcade games.

 

I was playing other games yesterday, now it's not working. 

 

I don't know if this has anything to do with my Xbox restarting itself about 5 times while I was installing the update or what, but this is really annoying.

 

Details on my Xbox;

 

I bought it the first year Xbox came out, I got it during December in 2005,  It has gotten the Red Ring error quite a few times, and I have sent it in to get repaired 4 or 5 times.  I haven't had any problems like this since a couple years ago, the last time I got it repaired.

 

 

I googled it and couldn't find anything so, advice please.

I try launching Fable 3 now from my 16GB Sandisk USB now, and half of the time it says "Can't launch Fable III"

When I finally get it to load it says my save is corrupt and it makes me start a new game?????

Still no response, by e-mail or by these forums.

I will call if I have to, but  I would prefer to just be able to get a quick reply on here.

ps:  It says my warranty hasn't been active on this console since august 2007 and that I will have to pay to get this fixed.

Is this true?

I believe this is the problem the Microsoft is supposed to fix by sending you a new 250GB console but I have a friend with the same problem and when he tries to contact them they say that he needs to pay them $100 to fix it, I don't think they really understand what is going on so if you try to call them they probably won't do anything unless you give them a hassle and even then I don't know if they will honor what a press release claimed. ZMetalhead, I've seen/responded to your other post, but if you want your issue resolved ASAP, I strongly recommend phone support. I'm not sure there's much information that the email team can provide in this matter.
