Discs not reading properly.

Whatever type of disc is entered, it fails to recognise. It makes a crunching sound when discs are entered. Not an isolated case according to google & YouTube . 3 phone calls to tech support & a number of tweets - still no further on & still £500 out of pocket. If this isn't resolved soon then I guess I'll just have to upload another xbox1 fail vid to YouTube , get a refund & buy a ps4.

If none of these items resolves your problem then you will need to open a repair ticket: https://myservice.xbox.com/ - or - return your system to the place of purchase.

What if your place of purchase is Microsoft???  I do not understand why I need to get a brand new system REPAIRED!  Send me one that works.

This is bull *** and all we get is (you will have to mail it in) and wate for them to fix someting that should have been working to start with.we cant take them back to swap them where we got them bc thay are sold out. Look at the good side it makes a good paper weight

what version of the OS does the system settings show? I have same problem, but OS doesn't show latest version still factory default. system needs the patch to work.

I have the same problem.  When I tried the online help, after 20 minutes the guy said he need to transfer me to a Xbox one specialist and to please wait.  I then realised I was cut off!  Second attempt, same issue but before I was transferred to a French speaking line and the to a Latin American speaking line before being finally cut of again.  I should have waited and gone to JB Hifi so I could go back to the store for an immediate swap!    :-((
