Disconnecting from Party Chat.

Just a quick question about being disconnected from party chat.

When host a party chat or connect to a friend's party chat, I find that either the party gets split into two, I lag out of the party every few minutes, or my friends will lag out from time-to-time. Is there a reason for this? My NAT type is OPEN, as are my friends'.

Hello Careful! This could be due to a configuration issue, or it may be due to an issue in connecting to a certain friend. Does this always happen with a certain person in the party?

Most often, yes. Usually it's when I connect with a certain friend in the party. (Could that be incompatible NATs?) If there are 6 people in the party, either the party will lag out half of them, or we will all be told that "Gamertag has left your Xbox Live party" for each person in the party.

Greetings, Careful Timing! Can you take a look at this official page about NAT to make sure everything is configured correctly: support.xbox.com/.../nat-type-strict ? Have your friend give the steps a shot as well and let us know if it makes a difference! :)
