Disconnected when trying to play online

For the past 2 months i've been having disconnection errors but not in the usual way like before. When im on the dashboard everything is fine. I can use apps no problems stream movies no problem netflix also streams hd no problem. But When i go to try to play online in games like black ops 2, or the new gears of war judgement early access demo it doesnt work. It will search for a match and say no suitable matchs trying again and it won't be able to connect to a match. Then suddenly I am disconnected from xbox live. Then if I dashboard I am connected to xbox live again. This doesn't make any sense to me I don't know what the problem is. I'd like to add 2 months ago around the time the problem started my internet got reset and we had to create a new wifi to use. It's been messed up ever since then. But everything else that runs on wifi works fine. Please let me know if you can know or know what the problem is I'm trying to get this fixed before gears comes out.. Thank you!

OK, so you have a six year old Linksys Cable Gateway (which combines a modem and a router) and therefore have no router.

Suggest you take a look at http://support.xbox.com/xbox-live/errors/error-code-8007065b and see if that solution is useful.

I've tried this It doesn't do anything. I don't always get this error. Whenever I try to play a multiplayer game it searchs for a match and then disconnects me. I dashboard and then I'm instantly signed into xbox live like I was never disconnected. I don't think this error has to do with it. Idk what to do that didn't help

Please make sure you are using a 64-bit key for your wireless security as the WEP 128-bit key will not work on the Xbox.
