The highest definition I can run is 720p.  If I go to 1020p it chops my TV screen by 25%.  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong.  Oh, I am running through a 4 way switcher but don't see how that could effect it.  At 720 p I get full screen and pretty good definition.  Should I be content?

You are right.  The best is 1020i or 720p for component type connections.  I don't know how I missed it but I did.  You got me digging and there it was.  Thank you.

Sounds like your TV might not support 1080p...

Could you try to connect the Xbox directly to the TV without the switch.. Just to be sure, that it is not caused by that.
