After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen?
yes

very simple.
i'l be playing a game, watching a movie on netflix, or w/e and randomly, out of the blue i'l get disconnected.
so i "test connection" and my super smart xbox decided that my connection magically switched from wireless to wired, kicking me offline.
i've had the same router/adapter since the original xbox so whenever halo 1 was out. it worked fine
the modem i had since the 360 came out, its always worked fine.

this recently started happening this summer, but it was so infrequent i didn't care. its getting to be an almost daily occurance now.
to fix the issue i unplug the adapter and plug it back in, xbox then notices its wireless again

also another strange happening, if i'm ever disconnected for this reason or any other, no matter what i do i have to run the xbox live test... i cannot unplug everything and connect i have to run the test.

hope i was clear enough if not sorry mostly just frustrated

... no, it doesn't sound like "congenstion on the net connection" at all.  It sounds like there's a problem either with your v1 adapter, ethernet cable or ethernet port on the xbox.  My bet would be the adapter since it's like 10 years old.
