Dashboard, Downloads, and Guide Menu are not streaming/downloading information properly

About a week ago my xbox started acting up internet wise, the updates were going slower, the dashboard wouldn't load certain things, etc. So I take a look at my internet in network settings and the only difference is the signal is bouncing from 1-3 bars, where normally i get 3-4. I've also tried downloading demos and other content and the downloads just keep freezing (not stopping, but absolutely freezing). My internet has been working fine on all my other devices in my house but my xbox just seems to be having a heart attack here, can someone please help. Also i have a wireless connection.

Could you start troubleshoot on your Xbox to see if it improves anything.

Clear Xbox system cache 
Clear your Marketplace system cache

  • On your console, go to Settings, and then select System.
  • Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.
  • Select System Items.
  • Select Marketplace System Data.
  • Select Delete.
  • Restart your console.

Restart your network equipment (modem/router).
