Cost of MS Points for Canadians

Does anyone else have a problem with paying more for MS Points in Canada when our dollar is basically at parity with the US Dollar?  And at times has been above parity.  Is there anyone from Microsoft that can elaborate as to why you're basically gouging Canadians?

Thanks

Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't monitor this forum.  This question has been asked many, many times over the years and an official response has never been offered.  Best guess, they're following the same pricing methods that every other company uses.  Because, let's face it, it isn't like Microsoft is the only company that charges more to Canadians.  That's pretty standard across the board.

The reason, really, is because they can.  If people are going to buy overpriced items why wouldn't they overcharge for them?

Look at DLC in general.  Same principle.

^^  This why MS charges what they want to charge.  If some really spends that much on MS points, ???? wow.   What could you have bought for 10000MS points????  But, regardless, if you offer it, they will buy.....

Microsoft and other companies charges Canadians more because they are based in the US, simply. Whenever they look at profit earn in Canadian dollars, they have to consider the cost of converting the Canadian dollar to American dollar to pay their American employees that work on the project as well as the Canadian deptments and employees. Go to your local bank and find out for yourself how much they nail you to the wall for converting Canadian to American and vise versa, it can sometimes be up to 20% on the dollar. Yes, 20% on the dollar.

10,000 MS points isnt much...you get almost 3000 for $40 lol I spend way more then that in a year.  I have like 60 arcade games and god knows how much DLC.  But yea the pricing is kinda ghey.  Just like Blu-Ray movies in the states being like $20-25 most of the time and here its like $35-40 unless you're buying a 10 year old movie on blu-ray for $25 lol

Depends on what kind of a consumer you are.  Me, I've spent less than 1100 Microsoft Points in just under 5 years.  Most DLC is a rip-off so I avoid it.

I pretty much never by MS points for exactly this reason.  I'd prefer to use a service like Netflix that adjusts their prices.
