Corrupted Profile

Hey guys and girls, sorry to bother you i just wanted your help with an issue i have.

When i logged on this morning to go on live i found that i had a blank avater no gamer picture or profile and when i went to play a game on live it would ask me to sign in and couldn't connect even though the internet connection is fine and i have run through all the checks etc. so i decided to look through the files and looked at the gamer profiles and it has come up with the Traven2k profile is corrupted, or that is what it says anyway. Firstly what does this mean, and any ideas of how i can fix this at all??

Just to also note, my other profiles work fine it looks like.

Also as you can see on here, it is only on my xbox that i have these problems on here my gamerscore and picture are fine. don't know whether that helps at all.

Whats happened here is the the local copy of your profile has become corrupted. Simply delete the corrupted file and re-download your profile onto the console. Everything will be as it was, you shouldnt lose anything like Gamerscore or content.

Please help last night my sons xbox said it needed to install an xbox update i clicked on it and now it continues to give error codes i investigated further and my profile is ok at least it shows up but not my sons i went to the memory part thinking i was in need of reformating but i noticed his profile was still there but it said it was currupted!! Omgosh help. Is this an easy fix or am i need of spending money for new xbox any and all help is appreciated
