Controller is paired, but console is unresponsive to it.

I've had my Xbox One from "day one" and it's worked fine, until an hour ago when the controller ceased to function. I replaced the batteries, ejected the game cd that had been in the console, turned the console off, turned it back on, logged out, logged back in, and even tried usb connecting it to the console. Basically, everything that has been recommended for pairing issues.

If I turn the console off, it turns the controller off, so I know that it's still paired, but none of the button presses register with the console at all, whether usb-wired or wireless. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had something similar happen. forums.xbox.com/.../4256855.aspx  I got mine to work again by pulling the power cord from the back of the XBOX One while on the home screen, This shut off my controller  and system and allowed me to regain movement with the controller on the Home screen.  Hope it helps!

I'm so glad this thread is here, you saved me lol. I just bought the Astro A40's and applied the firmware update (after tons of struggle) then my controller did the same thing. Thanks for the info!
