controller battery does not recharge.

Hello evreyone,

i am having some trouble with a rechargeable battery....

it is not recharging. when i plug the charger in the controller a green light flashes on the charger but then it turns off...

my conrtoller will turn on but when i disconnect it he will also shut down...

(i have a second battery and he is doing fine so it is not the recharger but the battery self)

does anyone have any ideas wha't wrong with it?? and how can i fix it?

There is a high chance that the battery pack has had a short and can no longer hold a charge.

This same exact thing happened to me when I bought the red controller pack a few years back. It worked for the first charge but after the battery drained once, it would never hold a charge. Luckily I was able to swap it out for a new one.

Also if your battery is older and more used it may simply have reached the end of its half life, an rechargeable battery can only recharge so many times before it is rendered useless

There have been tons of issues with play and charge kits (I assume that's what you are using) for over a year now.

I started seeing reports of the issue start right after one of the major dashboard updates, and I too was affected by the problem.

Why exactly this has happened, and how many people are affected, I do not know. If there is a solution, I do not know.

I got around it by getting a used white charge station, and I have 3 battery packs I rotate use with, leaving them on the charger until I need the change.
