Constantly Disconnected

Hey everyone,

I am constantly getting disconnected from Halo 4 within seconds of starting a halo 4 game.

Internet on all devices works fine. I tried every recommendation I can find and still cant seem to get to play a game for more than a few minutes.

I opened all reccommended ports,set a static IP, tried wired vs wireless etc - nothing seems to be working.

Any advise?

Hey ChunkyMoon7! Have you only experienced these connection issues while playing Halo 4? We'd like to help out, but to do so we're going to need to know a bit more about your set up. Can you review our start here sticky for connectivity issues and post back the details requested at the bottom of the thread? It would be much appreciated!

I am getting an exclamation mark between Linksys and Internet.

Router brand & model number: Linksys WRT160Nv3

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? White External Adapter

Things you have tried: Wired vs Wireless. Opened all Recommended Ports, Static IP address

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Yes

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT? Was having error, now no more since ports are opened.

Any Error Codes you encounter: Exclamation between Linksys and Internet on connection test. Does not specify.

My LIVE disconnected for me on a regular basis since the new update, posted on forums but still no replied solution. Got fed up In the end and called Xbox support who went through a load of steps, reset network adapter to factory settings, remove and re-download profile all did not work. Eventually I was advised to roll back my update and re-update, haven't had any problems yet and MW3 seems to play fine along with watching sky tv etc

Advice given to me by xbox support tonroll back - Go settings, storage and then press the following (LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X)

It seemed to work for me, maybe a glitch In the initial update. If in doubt call Xbox support as I just did what I was told to do!

hey, i tried that and i still keep getting disconnected.

Once i connect to XB: and try to play a game, the internet connection drops on all devices, but if o dont play XBL internet is fine. Any ideas?

Hey I'm still having issues, I've done all of their trouble shooting steps and I am left with one final possibility. NAT issue, somehow the update has thrown my settings and they needed manually tweaking and getting ports opened on my router. The Xbox support line is 0800 5871102 give them a call they should be able to help..... If this doesn't fix mine I will insist Microsoft replace my console as the update has messed it up! What's funny is that the support team haven't heard of anymore problems and I'm the first to report it to them........... Hmmmmmmm might be why nobody can get a replied fix on the forums....
