Constant update Failure!

I was informed I needed an update 3 weeks ago for my Xbox live. But every time I download it, it gets about a quarter of the way through then says it cannot download the update and I should test my connection ( which I do and is fine ).

 It gives te status code of  3968 - 0000 - 0080 - 0300 - D000 - 0185

I have tried removing hard drive and re installing it as listed in another persons post but with no luck just the same error code. Please help!!

Hello,

Ok, first at all we're gonna remove all updates:

1. First at all press: ''LB RB X LB RB X''

A screen will appear and click ''Remove All Updates''.

2. After then you can reinstall the updates again and every time you put a game in your Xbox it will load the update you've removed.

Hope this works.

Hey there Heydoov!
Issues with your console storage device can somtimes be resolved by clearing system cache.

For more how to troubleshoot your console software update problems:

Although if this status code confirms that a storage device was not found you could try reset your modem/router. If you are using a wireless connection try a wired one instead (Ethernet cable).

Post back and let us know if any of the suggested troubleshooting steps solved your issue.

Thanks!
