CONSOLE BANNED-NO EMAIL RECEIVED

I received a console ban yesterday. I have not received an email of any details.  I would appreciate an email informing me of what terms were violated. I am the parent of this child on this account.  I did contact x-box last night they could not tell me anything OTHER than there was an investigation on my sons account.  I was also told that they have never heard of console bans being lifted.  I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY IF THAT IS THE CASE...I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANY X-BOX 36O PRODUCTS OR SERVICES EVER AGAIN...BEING THE PARENT I AM AWARE THAT I SHOULD BE AWARE OF WHAT MY CHILD DOES...HOWEVER WITH THAT BEING SAID...X-BOX SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED ME....MY SON IS GOING TO RECEIVE EXTREME PUNISHMENT BEHIND THIS EVENT....BUT I WILL BE SURE TO PUT THE WORD OUT AS WELL THAT X-BOX HAS THE ABILITY WITH OUT KNOWLEDGE TO JUST DISABLE YOUR CONSOLE...THEY HAD MY NUMBER APPARENTLY...MY SONS EMAIL ADDRESS HAS NO RECORD OF ANY NOTICES OTHER THAN RENEWAL OF HIS WHATEVER YOU CALL IT....I AM NOT IMPRESSED WITH X-BOX...WE HAVE INVESTED A LOT OF MONEY WITH THIS PRODUCT AND COMPANY....I WILL SAY AS THE PARENT AND THE PURCHASER  I SHOULD HAD BEEN MADE AWARE OF THIS SITUATION SO I COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO AMEND IT PRIOR TO BANNING.  THANKS X-BOX...300.00 DOLLARS MY DOLLARS DOWN THE DRAIN!

17. Changes to the Service; If We Cancel the Service.

We may change the Service or delete features of the Service at any time for any reason. If you do not agree to these changes, then you must cancel and stop using the Service.

A particular feature may be a pre-release version – a beta, for example – and may not work correctly or in the way a final version might work. We may significantly change the final version or decide not to release a final version.

We may cancel or suspend your use of the Service at any time without notice and for any reason. Upon Service cancellation, your right to use the Service stops right away. Your ability to access and use Third-Party Features also stops right away.   Our cancellation of the Service will not change your obligation to pay all charges made to your billing account.  If we cancel the Service in its entirety without cause, then we will refund to you on a pro-rata basis the amount of your payment for the portion of your Service remaining at the time of cancellation. Sections 6 (for amounts incurred before termination), Section 11, Sections 15-18 and those sections of this contract that by their terms apply after termination of this contract will survive any termination of this contract. If you have confidentiality obligations related to the Service, those obligations remain in force (for example, you may have been a beta tester).

 

If your son is not 13 years of age then it would have been your responsibility to make sure he knew the XBL Terms of Service and Code of Conduct so he would know what is and is not allowed while using their service. I say this because no one gets permanently account or console banned from XBL unless they have violated either of those two contracts. Of which had to be digitally signed by clicking the 'agree' button. That means you and your son take full responsibility for anything that happens while on the Live service.

The only warning Microsoft issues is the Terms of Service and Code of Conduct. Those are the only warnings anyone will ever get. If they do not read either one of them it does not mean the rules do not apply.
