Connection/update issue

I have recently purchased a new xbox and have been unable to join live due to an update fault.

When I try and join/sign in to live, the download fails and status message 3151-3F4B-A080-8007-2F76 is displayed. I have tried with wired and wireless connections, clearing the cache and the LB,RB,x reset on the storage media and a load from USB but every time the same message appears. Online help told me to try again later as the server may be busy, but I've been trying for a week now!

Any suggestions

Thanks for your feedback.

It appears that it's either a connection issue as you suggested or part of the service could be unavailable. This means that there is an alternate solution for you if you have a free USB or CD-R media disc. You can download the latest update locally and then burn or put the update onto a USB device and update from there without internet issues which may arise regarding connections etc. You can find more about it here: support.xbox.com/.../system-updates-info Check under: "Copy to a USB flash drive", "Burn to a CD or DVD".
