Welcome FlatMet!
Are you connected to a University/College network?

Restore your Xbox network settings to factory defaults and test Xbox LIVE connection. Post up the values: A:? G:? D:? once more.

Thanks!

I am using a university network but last semester I had no issues with it at all, left for the break and came back and it just wouldn't work anymore. I had already restored to factory default settings and those were the A G D values after I had done it

It seems to look like the FFFF in the ID means your ID has been flagged or corrupted

At this stage of the network test it has nothing to do with any contents being corrupted.

Do you connect your console to a computer and use its Internet connection?

Could you open up cmd on your computer and type ipconfig /all Post up the four octets of your DNS Servers.

Try this as a temporary solution. On your console, set your DNS servers to Google public server. In order to perform this step, follow these instructions:

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
  2. Select Network Settings.
  3. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
  4. Select Configure Network.
  5. On the Basic Settings tab, select DNS Settings.
  6. Select Manual.
  7. Select Primary DNS Server.
  8. Enter 8.8.8.8
  9. Select Secondary DNS Server.
  10. Enter 8.8.4.4
  11. Select Done again.
  12. Press the B button on your controller, and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Post back and let us know how it goes.

Hmm, OK.  When you don't have access to the networking hardware, our options for official support are limited.  However, I do know that a lot of universities have guides on connecting to LIVE written by other students, you might want to check around for that.  You can also give this one a shot! Connect to Xbox LIVE with Windows Computer

I was looking at the school's website and it says that the internet is available for the gaming consoles and all that is required is a wired connection to the internet. Is it possible there is a problem with the port on the xbox because ive been able to connect to wireless internet but have never tried a wired connection?

Hey FlaMetAlchemist! Those XYZ codes you're getting actually mean ETHERNET_UNPLUGGED so there may be an issue with the port on your console. To find out, can I have you unplug and plug back in your Ethernet cord? Try switching Ethernet cord ends? Try a different wall port? Try a different Ethernet cord (Perhaps borrow a friends or neighbors just to test first)? This will help us rule out any external components and confirm what the issue here is! Let us know how these tests go. :)
