Connection Problem

Just like everyone else it seems, i have had a problem connecting to xbox live after the update. Here are the answers to the questions required.

What Country/State/Province do you live in? United States New York
Modem brand & model number:
Router brand & model number:  Siemens Speedstream 6520
Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired Wireless
If Wireless, what type of encryption are you using? WEP
Things you have tried: Resetting my settings and restarting my router haven't had much time to do anything else
Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown Unknown
Is NAT Type Open? Yes
Any Error Codes you encounter: No error codes just says it won't connect
What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G? DSL
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Frontier
When you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" what is the exact message shown on screen? I have gotten multiple messages once it couldn't obtain my IP address, then it couldn't find my DNS, but when it does connect i try to sign in and it says it can't connect to Xbox Live.

Please help as much as you can thanks.

i have the message your profile as changed, then i have to do a test connection, just to get back online..just to be booted back off, after booting the game..argh

I have 2 consoles, and both have trouble connecting since the update. I thought it was just a router problem, and have been checking settings. Now that I finally check the forums it looks like a lot of people have been having the same problems since installing the update.

this  has been going on here all day cant sign in to xbox live sign in get disconnected again.whats going on xbox you need to rectify this prob A.S.A.P

Pathetic xbox  and microsoft u need to pull your finger out and rectify this issue.we dont pay money to go online and cop this.money hungry vermon  you want our money but you cant provide a sensible service.WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

Same boat here. I have spent hours trying to figure out the issue. Rebooted over and over again. Reconfigured everything and I still get the same message - "There is a problem with your connection" but yet every Mac in my house is connected, my ipad is connected as is my BlackBerry Bold with not issues. Oh, and so it the Wii. Xbox - NOPE. Nothing. This will most likely be my last MS product ever. It was a gift for my son...

Hi,

 

Its quite common to mistype the WEP key so check it carefully, have you every connected before or is this the first time? Temporarily disabling WEP on the router will tell you if this is a security issue or not. Which of the wireless adapters are you using? black/white/internal (360S)?
