Connecting wireless controller

I have encountered a problem connecting my wireless controller to my xbox 360. I have tried turning on and off my console several times and retrying the connection process but it still has not worked. When connecting the lights go from searching to blinking all at once on both the console and controller but the xbox lights turn off and the conroller lights all keep flashing as if still unconnected. I also have a wired controller that I use so I plugged it in and it works but the single green light on the console does not come on. Any suggestions?  Any help would be appreciated.

Soup,

Try un-plugging it when you re-boot,

or kill the power strip.

Worked for my new xbox one.

dave, i did, i just wanted to post somewhere where someone having the same problem might find it.

i didn't want to find a solution and then just leave someone else hanging out to dry.

if your controller was working fine, then started not connecting,

try killing the power-strip, or un-plugging.

Hey. I am also having trouble with my Xbox 360 controller. It isn't connecting when I try to use it. And do you mean to unplug my Xbox 360 E from my power strip when you say, "Killing the power strip"?
