Connecting to Friends and Xbox live games!!

I am having trouble with connecting to one specific friend over xbox live, and keep getting disconnected from xbox live 3-5 minutes after turning on my console. Then i have to reconnect to xbox live again. PLEASE HELP ME.

Both you and your friends NAT should be set to "Open" or you may experience issues when trying to connect to each other, your "Open" NAT may not overcome the problem of you connecting to someone else who's NAT is "Moderate" or "Strict."

As for the the disconnection and having to sign in again, is your connection stable after the initial disconnect or does it happen again?  If it's the former, you may want to ensure that you are using the most recent version of firmware for your router.

If you continue to get disconnected from LIVE, I wouldn't worry about connecting with your friend until the bigger issue is resolved, mainly because it could also be causing this secondary issue.
