Connected to the internet, but cant contact xbox live. I need help :(

Ok i've done everything that xbox support has told me to do and my isp. My isp said that they don't block ports and i don't connect through a router, I connect straight to the modem. It was working perfectly fine a couple days ago, and then I went to turn it on and then this happened. I don't know what else to do. Please help.

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen?

Your console is connected to the internet, but can't contact xbox live

Hey mate, is there any more information available at all when you run that LIVE connection test? And have you tried a different ethernet cord by chance?
