Connect to Live - Xbox freezes

I've had an issue that came up totally out of the blue a few weeks back; Basically when I sign into my gold account on my Xbox 360 S with a wireless connection, the Xbox runs incredibly slow and usually crashes/freezes up. It's not just when trying to download, but even just moving blades causes this issue.

When I use an offline account or when I play an Xbox Original game that doens't connect to live, things run perfectly smoothly.

I've already sent the machine away for repairs, and when I got it back this week it still has the exact same issue. I've tried returning to factory settings, clearing the cache and power-cycling the internet connection with no success, can anyone help me out?

Any advice is greatly appreciated thanks!

Are you using the internal wireless adapter to connect the Xbox to your router?  If so, you might do a test and temporarily connect your Xbox to your router with an Ethernet cable.  See if you still have the same issue.

I'm using the built in wireless from the Xbox 360 S console. I'll try the ethernet thing and see if that helps.

Okay i have no idea what's going on with this thing. I changed my wireless setting around, regardless of the fact that every other wireless device in the house is fine and the Xbox is still not working. It seems it's related to the internet in some way, but I can't figure out why. It's not practical for me to be running a cable across the house, and frankly this should not be an issue. The Xbox was playing online perfectly fine until a few weeks ago.

I tried to update the xbox this morning and the download cannot begin, I got the following error code:

335A 0000 D080 0200 8007 045D

Is anyone able to shed some more light on this? I hope the error code can provide some more insight.

Did you try connecting with the cable?  If so, did it work?

Sorry for  the late reply guys, I've been trying a few things out. Using the page that Mister Fitzer directed me to didn't help unfortunately. It seems like I can download the update via PC and install it, but it doesn't fix any of the issues. It still crashed when I sign in.

I'm going to try the cable again today. If the system works fine via cable internet, what would my options be?

Okay, tried the HDMI cable, and it's the exact same issue. I couldn't even go into my friends list without the console freezing up/lagging to the point I couldn't do anything (including use the guide button).

I can play offline completely fine though, even in my usual account if I sign out of live everything works like it should.

Netgear Wireless ADSL Modem Router DG834G

Although I don't think it's related to the router/modem since my other (old) xbox works perfectly fine, but when I unplugged that one and plugged in the new one directly to the cable it had the same issues.

(BTW thanks for the help so far guys!)
