Computer will not hook up to Ethernet Cord.

I had my Xbox hooked up to my Dell Computer Dock Station.I went threw all the proper steps and every thing seemed to work, So I went ahead and bought 3 months of xbox live.I played on it for about 3 days so I know it should work. Now all of a sudden my Computer will not even read The Ethernet cord that runs from my xbox, When I plug it in my Xbox has the check on Wired Connection But When I try to connect no luck. I already tried to restart My modem and everything but it will not connect whats so ever. I tested the Ethernet cord and they all work fine. I really really dont want to buy a Xbox wireless adapter because If I can get this fixed I can always buy myself a new game, I have a Dlink Modem and a Xbox Arcade if anybody can give me suggestions that would be great.

Try resting your wired connection information on your Xbox back to factory default and try connecting to Xbox LIVE again.
