Code: 80048821 and add security

Hey a couple of days ago my xbox live was working fine but the next day it ask me to add security  so i type in my email and my password for xbox live. Then it says the password word is wrong or the email does not have xbox live. 1. I have the right password 2. the email does have xbox live on it. It gives me the coce 80048821 and dont know what it means. Everytime i try to exit it all it does is kick me out of xbox live. I am pretty annoyed of this because i just brought a new xbox live gode like 2 1 week ago and its 3 months and its getting wasted please find a fix for this.

You need to update the security information for your Microsoft account. Here's the link how to:

support.xbox.com/.../security-proofs

After adding the proofs through the website, try signing into your account on the 360. If it still doesn't work, try deleting and re-downloading your profile.

Somber that did not work sorry i added the stuff you told me to do the security  and that tried it again and it does not work. You said about delete my profile and download it again. I dont know how that works. But i play black ops 2 and im a high prestige on it and im worried because if i delete my profile and download does everything what was on the profile stays on the one i downloaded do i keep my stats achimvents and all of that stuff my game level all of that stuff if i do send me a link to how to do it

Wait i know how to download a profile but how do i delete one but when i download the profile do i keep everything my black ops 2 prestige diamond guns all that stuff so when i download it. it wil lbe like i didnt do nothing like its just the same as my old profile nothing changed

There's the link how to delete and download a profile. Just make sure, when you go to delete the profile, Select Delete Profile Only.

As long as you select that, nothing will be affected.

I delete my profile and downloaded it but it still asking for the add sercuirty saying wrong password or the email does not have xbox live when it does!

Thanks for following up. Can you try redownloading your account onto an alternate storage device such as a USB drive formatted for use with your console? Thx so much i lost my 16gb usb stick but i am using my 2gb usb stick will ge a higher one soon what was wrong with my hardrive?

If you can only connect to LIVE when your profile is on an alternate storage device, that would suggest that there's an issue with your hard drive. Are you using an official hard drive? Can you let us know exactly what model of console you are using now? Do you have a different Hard Drive you could use to test out? If that also works, you may need to get a repair or replacement for your Hard Drive. Let us know, thanks!

Its the white xbox with the silver disc tray got it in 2009 no red rings nothing. never broken the hard is 60gb
