COD MW2: Can play 1 on live, not 2 ... AHHH HELP PLZ!!!!

I can connect to live with my account and play online just fine by myself, but when I attempt to sign a guest in for 2 player.  As far as I know this is only an issue for this game specifically.  I get the message

"Your console cannot connect to xbox live", and signs me out and then back to main screen.

I have been able to bypass this once when my friend recovered his account onto my xbox, and we first both signed into single player zombies then left the lobby to then log into multi-player on live.

Has anyone had this issue before? If so, were you able to fix it? If so, how?

Any help would be appreciated :) .. I just wanna shoot at ppl with my friends!!!

Alright - have you made sure your router's firmware is up to date? To check, you can visit the support page for this particular model, here: homesupport.cisco.com/.../E1000

try making your xbox a static IP address, can be the same as it currently is, just so it dosnt change during a power cycle. and on the router put yur xboxs' ip into the DMZ on the router

Sorry, I meant Black ops. I forwarded 53 both to my xbox ip (which happened to have a final ip add of .107). TCP to 80, UDP to 88, and 3074 to both.  This did not resolve my problem.  I forwarded these undewr "single port forwarding".  I named the app MW2 when actually its black ops but I don't think that would matter as long as the ports and ip addy are right.

Any other ideas as to which step I may be missing? I reset my router (to apply the port changes) and I am unable to log a guest into live still.

Are you playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Call of Duty: Black Ops? With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 an issue could be you are trying to play split screen online multiplayer over Xbox Live. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 does not support split screen online multiplayer. On the other hand if you are playing Call of Duty: Black Ops split screen online multiplayer is support however both accounts must be gold subscriptions (unless the 2nd user is signed in as a guest). If this problem proceeds please power off your console and wait some time and try again. Good luck! :)
