Cat Vomit in Exhaust Vent

While visiting my parents for the holidays, my housemate's cat had picked my electronics as a great place to get sick and vomit, doing so all over the top of my Xbox 360 slim, getting some into the exhaust vent.  I hadn't noticed until I tried to play it today, and it froze twice on me within 20 minutes of turning it on.  I was able to clean the vomit off of the top of the console (and off of a few other electronics on the shelf), but there is definitely some in the vent (now caked on the exhaust fan), and there was definitely a disgusting cooked vomit smell coming from the console.

Is there anything that I can do to clean it out?  Also, will this render my warranty void (I had just purchased this console about 8 months ago to replace my original model 360)?

Go to http://myservice.xbox.com to register your console and setup a repair. Note that if the console was bought used the warranty is void. If bought new it should still be under warranty and you should be able to get it fixed
