Can't Recover Profile

First off

-Yes my log-in information is correct

-Yes I'm connected to the internet

-Yes I can access Xbox Live

-This isn't a new 360 or hard drive

So I'm moving my Gamertag back to my home 360 after being away and on another Xbox, somehting I've done numerous times before.  when I try to recover it simply starts the recovery and pops up a message saying "Can't recover your profile"

I've tried deleting the profile still on the HDD and clearing the cache, no luck.

Is this a NAT issue? a router issue? Is the recovery service down? What?

Hi there.

There was an xbox LIVE service alert up and running earlier on, regarding "Accounts", so that may have been causing you trouble when trying to recover your profile. Try leaving it for a while, clear the cache again and restart the console and if the process still doesn't work, try again tomorrow.

So why don't you simply use your friend's account for the time being...? Now that you know the recovery system can be faulty and it is recommended that you do not use it on a frequent basis, it may be a good idea to put your profile on a memory stick to transport to a friends' house. :)

Hmmm.... ok try this.

1) Go to system settings then go to memory & Go under profiles.  Do you see corrupted profile by chance?
