Can't get wireless Vista Laptop communicating with wired Xbox360 arcade

Vista Laptop not communicating with Xbox 360 Arcade

Windows Media Center cannot find  Xbox as an extender – followed correct procedure

Vista Home Premium SP2 laptop wirelessly connected  

Xbox 360 Arcade Ethernet wired to WRT54G  V2.2 Firmware Vers 3.03.1

DHCP enabled on router

Virgin media broadband modem

MAC addr PC 00-22-43-10-8E-85

Console MAC addr 00-22-48-BD-8E-16 – no alternate

Xbox connection test with media center fails

Xbox PC connection test fails

File sharing and media sharing on

Windows firewall on and media center extenders exceptions selected

UPnP enabled

Xbox Gateway

When xbox IP addr dynamically created  - - cannot see xbox in network

When given static addr of xbox can be seen as a device in network

Xbox connects to Xbox live with either way of creating IP addr 

ICS not enabled on Home Premium

NAT type moderate

DMZ disabled

IP config – Wireless Lan adapter Wireless Network connection:  Connection specific DNS suffix  -, IPv4 address, Subnet mask, default gateway – Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Media State Media disconnected, Connection specific  DNS suffix is blank

DNS settings auto – primary DNS server – Secondary

Windows Vista Basic Internet Connectivity Test undertaken – basic Internet connectivity supported – NAT not supported – Traffic congestion test supported – TCP high performance not supported -  UPnP supported – Multiple simultaneous connection states supported
