Cant get rid of error 80072ee2

I have tried everything possible. I used to get this error occasionally, but it would go away after 30 minutes or so, but this has lasted for days. It wont let me do anything. I cant play games online, watch netflix, nothing. It keeps telling me this is a marketplace error, something to do with my downloads taking too long, but i dont have any downloads. This error is extremely stupid and it says i can connect to the internet, but not xbox live, yet i can sign in? Nothing has changed with my router or modem, and i have tried reseting them. I am able to access the internet and do everything on my computer. GOOD JOB MICROSOFT. Please help me.

Do you have access to your router to open the ports? If you do, I suggest you try and open the ports.

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 1863 (UDP and TCP) - Kinect

This may solve the issue of connecting to the internet but not being about to connect to LIVE.

If I understand it correct you cant connect and this code popsup directly? To clarify the code, is it 80072ee2 or 80072EE2. There is a difference between them because you are mentioning having troubles with the marketplace. Please do let us know...

Its the lowercase e's.

I reset my network to factory default and re-setup everything and it worked for a few games of mw3, but the nit stopped working again. the error does not pop up anymore, but i cannot play matchmaking.

also, it is taking a thousand times longer to do everything. ex. updates, or just any loading in general. This is extremely aggrovating

i keep getting the same error, turned on my xbox, had update available, just hangs at the downloading screen, get the error code you mentioned, and no fix. tried all troublshooting tips on xbox live. no go... this is not good

got rid of the error code, i removed my ethernet from the console, connected to wifi, as soon as i did that the download had gone through no problem
