Cant get on my Xbox Live account.

When I got home a few weeks ago my Xbox Live was acting oddly after we had a new wirless internet router installed. Everytime I started a game the screen would stay in transition (black screen) far an overly long time then knock me off xbox live. I got on the support chat and they told me to clear my system cache and recover my account. I did both and it started working fine again. Then one night after resetting my router to get the internet on my PC to work, the Xbox Live began acting oddly again. So I tried the same procedure, but halfway through the account recovery download I got knocked off Xbox Live and it never finished.

Now not only can I not get on Xbox Live, I cant even get on my account which holds all the data to my games that I need the saved game files to play! I have ran the connection tests and it connects me to xbox live. But when I try to get on through my account I still cant. And no matter what I do it still knocks me off Xbox Live halfway through the account recovery EVERY TIME. Whats even wierder is that when I try to get on to my profile it stalls for awhile and says that it cant connect to xbox live and just leaves me on an unconnected profile thats only half recovered so when I get on a game it says my profile cant be used because its not fully recovered hence why I cant play any of my games.

Im paying to use this so im very angry about it and it is obviously not a connection issue as its connecting to the internet and Xbox Live.

Hey OP - Are you still having this issue? If so, can you try deleting your profile, then recovering it? Also, are all the ports used by Xbox LIVE open on your router?

Alright, just to test, can you get online with a Free profile? You can create one on your console for testing purposes :)

Just to tack on here, what do you mean by "it didn't fully recover"? Are you getting an error message when trying to recover your profile?

Why don't you at least connect through a CAT 5 (ethernet) cable to see if it is a problem with your console, the service, or your router? If you can narrow the field on where it is coming from then it might help people help you.

By it didnt fully recover I mean it got halfway through recovering on the load bar, as in it filled it up once out of two times but I get knocked off xbox live before it even starts to fill up the bar a second time. It fills it up the first time almost to the end, pauses for a about 30 seconds then knocks me off leaving be with a half recovered profile.
