Cant connect to xbox live ethernet or wireless

Modem brand & model number: 2wire att uverse standard

Router brand & model number: 2wire attuverse modem/router combo standard

Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired wired

If Wireless, what type of encryption are you using?wep/wpa

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? internal

Things you have tried: I have tried my wireless connection with no avail.  I tried my ps3 via ethernet and wireless and it connected fine.  all other items in house connecting fine.  Switched out ethernet cable on 360 and router port.  none of my settigns have changed, this started yesterday.  

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown unknown

Is NAT Type Open? unknown, whatever is standard

Any Error Codes you encounter: none

What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G? att uversefiberoptic

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? att uverse

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen?

modem cant assign ip

2wires hate the Xbox.  Use these manual ip and dns settings on your xbox:

ip: 192.168.1.25

sub: 255.255.255.0

gate: 192.168.1.254

dns1: 192.168.1.254

dns2: 8.8.8.8

Thank you for the tip Zealot while that did not work.  I got the issue somewhat resolved through xbox support on the phone.  We did a factory reset and the wireless worked fine without the static ip.  However, no luck on the wired connection.  I have to send it out for service as they think the ethernet port is dead in my slim 360 :(  luckily i have a back up 360 but it is annoying i haven't had the console a year and something broke on it.

hey i am not able to connect with the ethernet cable to my u verse box. i can connect wireless though. i just have a second xbox and i do not know why it is not working.
