Can't Connect to XBL

XBOX Live was working fine earlier today.  I have checked everything imaginable and tried all of the troubleshooting tips and can't find the solution.  Did Test Live Connection and Network and Internet were connected but XBL Failed.  Says MTU must be set to at least 1364.  Checked and MTU on my router  was set to 1500 so that was not the issue (even tried changing to 1370 to no avail).  Correct ports were open.  Any suggestions????

Any Error Codes you encounter: Check MTU, must be at least 1364
What type of internet do you have? DSL
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?

Does the issue persist when you're wired directly to the modem? Don't forget, you'll need to power-cycle the device before trying to connect your Xbox 360.

I tried all of what was listed and nothing.  However, earlier today, I reset the settings on my router to factory settings, went in and reopened the necessary ports, turned UPnP on and my MTU was above 1364 and I was able to sign in.  I then quit playing and went back later to play and I began getting the MTU error once again.  I tried resetting everything once again and I can't sign in.  

Any other suggestions?
