here is the status:

First thing I noticed is that the Channel is set to 0 and not 11 ( which is the one that the router are set to), but have no clue how to solve this.

Appreciate if you could post up the make and model of your modem and router. Also, state whether you're using the black, white external wireless network adapter or the built-in (Xbox 360 Slim).

Power off your modem and router for a couple of minutes. Turn on you console and go to network settings. Restore your Xbox network settings to factory defaults.

  1. Turn off your console.
  2. Wireless connection only: Unplug the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter from the USB port.
  3. Turn on your console.
  4. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
  5. Select Network Settings.
  6. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
  7. Select Configure Network.
  8. On the Additional Settings tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults.

Note This will only reset the network settings. This will not affect any other console settings.
  9. Turn off your console.
  10. Wireless connection only: Plug the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter back into the USB port (if you are using an adapter).
  11. Turn on your console.

Did you power cycle your Edimax and restored the Xbox network settings to factory defaults?

When you search for available wireless network's on your console, can you see your wireless network's name (SSID)?

Which security method are you currently using to secure your wireless network( WEP, WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK with AES encryption)?

Check your router's firmware if there is an more recent version available than the current one. If so, update your router's firmware with the latest version.

Problem solved!

Just powered off and on again on the router and reset defaults on the console.

Anyways I could see the SSID and have no security (only MAC Filtering)

Thanks!

Great! Its a bit unusual to use MAC filtering because it requires a bit of effort to set up properly. But as long as this works for you then go for it :)
