Did you follow the steps here for changing your WLID?  Also, where did you attempt to change the info.  On the xbox or the website?

Yes, I followed these steps (i'm stuck at step 7 "Enter the email address and the password for the new Windows Live ID that you want to associate with your gamertag, and then select Sign in.").

I attempt to change the info on the xbox, I didn't find any way to do it on the website.

Well on researching your particular error code it comes up as an invalid email address.  Double check that you're typing the email address in properly.  One person on the net accidentally used the hyphen instead of a period.

I found this on the net yesterday, I checked and checked again, I also tried typing with an USB keyboard to be sure… Didn't solve anything…

Both my old and new WLID use a custom domain name, is that possible that it is the source of the problem ?

That might very well be a problem.  Why not just create a hotmail account exclusively for xbox and let it sit.  Any emails going through the hotmail account can be forwarded to your regular one.

If you are having account-related issues, you can call phone support in your region and ask them to look into it further for you.

The goal is to reduce the number of my accounts and keep only one of them, so creating a new hotmail account is not a solution.

I think I will call phone support, thanks for your help.

Why does Xbox Forums Support ALWAYS send you to phone support? Are you getting paid to do this?
