Cant chance my Settings

I'm a verifyed Student on Dreamspark.com. Now i want to active my Creators club Accound. But there i get that message:

I wrote in the Forum at http://forums.create.msdn.com/forums/ and "Ben K." means that i have to chance my payment settings. (How i am going to pay annual sum).

So. I'm 18 years old, a verifyed Student and need to chance that settings. But when i click on it, i got a new Loginscreen witch says:

Your parents must logg in with his Windows Live ID, then you can continue.

But i'm 18. I dont have a other E-mailadress then my student one :(

Your account still thinks you are under the age of 18. Ask your parents for the control e-mail and password and you will be able to manage your account.

Ok. But

1.) My parents have no email to access

2.) Only my age must be chanced that i can control it

When you turned 18 did you promote your account from child status to adult status? If not then you need to do so in order for it to be seen as an adult account.

Hi there.

 

You can find the option to promoting your account under "Account Management" via your console. This option only appears when the account turns 18 so if there is no option available your account is not old enough. Follow these steps if you have trouble:

 

  1. Sign into your profile via your xbox 360.
  2. Navigate to the "My xbox" slide on the dashbourd.
  3. Scroll to the right once, this being your main profile display.
  4. Hit A on your controller to open up options relating to your account.
  5. Select the option "Account Management".
  6. If the option is available to promote your account it will be first in the list.

Sorry if I'm late to the metaphoric party, but how do we know this is an age thing? I thought the OP said he was suggested it was a billing issue by the App Hub guy.

Also, if you have access to the App Hub forums, I'd suggest posting there. If you need to contact phone support about a billing issue, you can get the contact info at this page.

I'm having the same issue. For some reason my account is no longer registered. When I figure out how to get it to use my dreamspark I'll post it here.

Just FYI ~ You do realize that you're responding to a thread that is over a year old from June 2011 right? The issue has more than likely been resolved by now :)
