Can't add a new credit card

Dear Support (or somebody who have/had the same problem)

 

I wanted to add my first credit card to my account but could not because i get the following message under my card number

 

"Írja be egy érvényes hitelkártya számát." in english "Please type in a valid credit cards number"

I dont know what does it mean because my credit card is valid for sure.I use this every day for shopping etc.

I want to buy a Gold account but i cant beacuse of this **** thing.

 

Please help me as soon as possible

Hi there.

 

The card that you're trying to add to your account, is it from the same region as your xbox LIVE gamertag? The region location information will need to be the same if you wish to use the card on the LIVE service, so for example:

 

  1. If your account is set to the UK, then you will need to use a card from a UK credit/debit card provider.
  2. If your account is set to the UK but your credit/debit card is from germany, you will not be able to use this card on your account.

 

If this is not the case then you can try to add the payment option at, www.billing.microsoft.com. If this problem continues to occur it would be a good idea to contact the xbox support line for your region.

im having the same problem. I cant add a new credit card,  and i live in the US and my card is from the US. I use this card every day for Steam and there hasnt been a problem there. Only on xbox live...

your billing address on your account must match exactly what is on your creditcard

call xbox support if you are continuingly having issues if it is a army base address call support as they can help you get it validated

(changing the email will not change the region of an account)

I have the same problem.... i tried evereything what i read here.. but nothing!!!!!  Congratulation, nice system, and marketing, i want to buy something but i can't........ just the usual message "Please type in a valid credit cards number" it's valid, and i checked everything..... so do something with yours "nice" network........
