Cannot use my IPOD as a XBOX 360 storage device

Hi I followed the instructions, my IPOD is in FAT32, there is nothing on it.

Still, I can't configure it as an XBOX 360 storage device.

USB device brand/size : Ipod nano (2nd generation)
Error message and/or code : Can't perfom action. There was a problem perfoming that action.
What am I trying to do : Configure it as a XBOX 360 storage device

You cannot write data to your iPod through your Xbox 360. Your iPod can only be read by your console and the data can be read & displayed.  If you were looking to a cheap alternative for extra storage space, I suggest you invest in a small USB thumb drive. They can go for anywhere from $5 to $25 and the storage capacity in the newer ones are larger for a lesser amount. Best Buy and Gamestop seem to carry the best which would be compatible with your console and they should help you to do what you are needing the extra storage space for.
