Cannot connect to xbox live, xbox will not connect to the network

Every time i try to connect to xbox live i get this error code thing: 80151901. I continually try to test my connection but my xbox wont connect to the network. This is the status report if this can help fix the problem:

W:0000-000B

X:4000-1001

Y:0000-0000

Z:0000-0000

ID:FFFF-FFFF

L:0015-10F1

Q:8007-0435

T:Wired

A:169.254.234.1/255.255.0.0

G:0.0.0.0

D:0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0

If anyone can make out what this is, would be a real help, thanks

Hey there chrissps,

This error code is very common.

I suggest that you restore your Xbox 360's network settings to factory defaults:

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, select Settings, and select System Settings.
  2. Select Network Settings.
  3. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network when the network list is displayed.
  4. Select Configure Network.
  5. On the Additional Settings tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults. When prompted, select Yes, Restore to Factory Defaults.
  6. Turn off your console.
  7. Turn on your console.
Please let us know if doing this fixed the issue =)

Sorry to hear that the solution I provided did not work out for you.

There could be something wrong with your profile.

I suggest that you try the following:

  1. Delete your profile (profile only, NOT profile and all items)
  2. Clear the System Cache twice
  3. Restart your console
  4. Re-download your profile

I have some people working on a solution. This has been a very common issue this past week, and we are working on a solution. We have found a couple that work for some people, but we are still working on a universal fix

I tried to re download my profile but because i cannot connect to xbox live, i am unable to re download my profile, and prodigy how long do you think it will take for me to get back online?

You mentioned that you're unable to connect to your Network.

Could you post the make and model of your Router and Modem? Much appreciated if you can.

Well, as of right now we have 2 possible fixes, but before we plaster it across the forums, we want to do some more testing, things are looking sunny though :)

And by the way, I am not in any way affiliated with Xbox, nor am I an official Xbox Support Agent. We (meaning me and my 2 friends, also ambassadors) Have this issue with our consoles as well, and so far 2 situations have improved or completely resolved, And that is with the Xbox S and E, but the Elite is giving us issues, so be patient, we want to solve everyone problem.
