Cannot connect to xbox live after update...please help!

Tested my connection and it shows that I am able to connect to Xbox live.  However, when I attempt to sign in, it says that it cannot connect to Live. 

I have this code:

W: 0000-0021

X:  0000-F001

Y: 20A8-4840

Z: 0000-0000

ID FFFF-FFFF

L: 8015-1904

Q: 801C-274C

I am using a Linksys wireless router.  DSL speed is slow, but prior to yesterday, never had a problem signing on to Xbox Live.  I can't use wired connection because the router is too far away.

I don't understand why, after 4 years, I am having this problem.  I can only conclude that this has something to do with the update.  I actually had to use the usb drive for the update.

What i would suggest is to unplug everything on your xbox and modem and let them both sit for an hour or 2, then replug everything back in and see if that works :) hope this helps

I have tried this but to no avail.  When it boots up, I'm connected to Live but after a few minutes I get disconnected.  It will ask for me to test my connection and the test shows that I can connect to Live, but yet won't let me sign in to Xbox Live.  Am I making sense?

Is it just me or is this forum layout a little confusing?

Today, I did get the "could not matchup to XBox Live" when I ran the connection test.  I started having this problem when I was attempting to do the update this past Monday or Tuesday evening.  As my XBox could not maintain a connection, I had to update via USB flash drive.   My XBox extracted the files and I was hoping that would fix the problem but, obviously, it did not.

Still getting disconnected from XBox Live!  This is getting quite frustrating.  My settings are the same, my computer gets online o.k., Xbox connection test shows that my Xbox can connect to Xbox Live, but yet when I go to sign on, I get the message that I cannot connect to Xbox Live and ask if I want to test my connection.  Run another test and get check marks for everything and that everything is up and yet again cannot sign into Xbox Live.  It's the same cycle over and over...

Hey there Chihuahua! I'm sorry to hear you are having issues connecting to LIVE. I notice you are connecting via WiFi. Can you try connecting directly to your modem with an ethernet cable to see if that works. If it does, also try connecting directly to the router as well.

Also, what is the very first error message you see when you can't connect or get disconnected, not the one you see when running the test? Is there an 8-digit error code with the error? Also, do other profiles on your console have the same issue if they try to log in to LIVE? Let us know, thanks!

I've got the same! What the hell is the prob ! Live cannot be connect via WIFI?
