Cannot connect to party or Halo 4 matchmaking with friends?

Ok so here is the deal. I have literally spent the last 3 days on this computer trying to figure out why my xbox is not working properly. I have tried forwarding the ports in my router, DMZ, Port Trigerring, Port Range Forwarding, and a few other things trying to get my xbox to let me join my friends. Nothing and I repeat NOTHING on the xbox support page has even helped in the slightest bit, and I am starting to get really frustrated. When I test my connection it shows that nothing is wrong with my connection, but then when I try to join a friends game it says something about having an Open NAT, "Which is usually compatible." Now I don't know if my xbox is broken, or if I wasted my time/money. The only other information I can give is this: After I test my connection I press Y for "status" and this is what it says.. PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT!!!!!

As I said above. It is showing that I am not having ANY error in the connection, and believe me, I used every guide I could find on this website and nothing helped. I need real help. Not "Here's a page that may or may not help you with your problem" help.

Hey again!

Sorry, I saw this "but then when I try to join a friends game it says something about having an Open NAT, "Which is usually compatible." " and it seemed like you were unsure abut your NAT Type, I apologize for the confusion.

Ok, have you had a look at this Connection Performance link? I understand you said that "I used every guide I could find on this website" we just need to be sure and give you all relevant guides available to see if they help!

Greetings Gorechild69!
Appreciate if you could post up the make and model of your modem and router. Could you also tell us how your router is currently configured.

Your topic states that you, and I quote, "cannot connect to party or Halo 4 matchmaking with friends". Is this the only game affected by these problems or other games as well?

NAT check do not test every relevant facet of NAT behavior individually.

Thanks!

@Gorechild69 Appreciate if you could answer my other questions as well.

Visit Linksys webpage and make sure your router is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware.

Access your router and go to Security>Firewall and untick Filter Anonymous Internet Requests. This feature is known to cause NAT issues. Save/Apply and reboot your router

Thanks!

Please also make sure that only UPnp -or- [Port Forwarding/Port Triggering] -or- DMZ is enabled and the other two are disabled as they conflict.

I'd also suggest these steps, not shown on the website:

1) turn off the Xbox and unplug the power supply cord from the back of the Xbox then
2) unplug power from the router (Some folks have a combination modem-router AKA 'gateway' or only use a modem with no router. If either, skip steps 3 & 6).
3) unplug power from the modem.
4) Wait at least 5 minutes then replug the modem/gateway power.
5) Wait 'til the light on the front of the modem/gateway which says BROADBAND, ONLINE, READY, CABLE or DSL is on solid (not flashing), then plug in the router. If you have a gateway instead of a modem and router or a modem with no router, then when that light says it's ready, skip to step 7.
6) Wait until the WiFi light on the router is on; you may not use WiFi, but it's still a good indicator your router is finished booting up.
7) Plug in and turn on the Xbox.

If the problem persists, please send us the rest of info we need from http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/9/t/155724.aspx so we may work on this further, i.e.:

What Country/State/Province do you live in?
Modem brand & model number:
Router brand & model number: Linksys E4200.
If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?
Things you have tried:
Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown
What is your NAT status? Open/Moderate/Strict
Any Error Codes you encounter:
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?

@taidara:  I do not know exactly what you mean by configured? I have Automatic Configuration - DHCP for my internet connection type. I also have Port 53 (TCP & UDP), Port 80 (TCP), Port 88 (UDP), Port 1863 (Both), and port 3074 (Both) forwarded to my xbox ip address. This problem occurs anytime I try to join my friends party or game. Not only in Halo 4. He has taken all the steps I have and he can't see anything wrong with his connection either. We both have Open NAT's but we just can't play together. No matter what I try, nothing works.:/
