Cannot Add New Payment Option - All info is correct

I am attempting to add a credit card to my account so that I can purchase Microsoft points, but no matter which card I attempt to enter, it states that the card number is invalid, even though it is not.  I am in the United States region and all billing information is in the United States as well.  Just wondering what I can possibly do?

Have you tried calling support to see if it is something with your account? Maybe a payment issue from before?

I have not called support...I was trying to avoid calling for the most part to be honest.  They never seem to be helpful when I call so

Is it possible that I attempted to add a credit card with wrong info too many times so it won't let me add it with the correct info now?  If so, how long would I have to wait?

They are having some kind of problem with their billing system. I am having the same problem, with xbox. zune, windows phone. I called my bank and it says all of my transactions from them come up zero. We just have to wait for them for them to fix it.
