Cancelling subscriptions

How do I cancel my xbox live subscription? I have not found a way on the website or through my console. I will NOT call customer support and sit on hold for an hour like I did the one and only time I ever called them.

nope just call during non peak times like 3-9 pm or weekends

early morning or evening is fine

the only way to cancel service is calling support

and the wait is not 1hour

20mins at most unless you call when everyone including their mother calls or navigate the phone menu wrong

 

but during non peak times 5-10min phonecall and they are quite pleasant

select live and billing and cancelations

 

as long as you do not yell and scream or take off your creditcard which goes to another department the wait isn't that long at all

Wow that's actually the stupidest thing I ever heard.

I have a full time job so It's not like I can just pick any time to call. And yes I actually have waited for the better part of an hour on hold for them so don't tell me it's not true. When I finally spoke to someone, they could barely speak english and I had to walk them through what i was trying to do. It was super annoying. Good customer support Microsoft!

Literally cancelling the credit card my subscription is on because it actually takes less effort.

well thats what you get for calling when everyone else calls

actually thats going to cause more work for you then it is worth

because when a subscription cannot renew 27 days later unless you update your payment method and you will remain suspended till you add another creditcard or paypal or debit card

 

prepaid memberships will not clear the balance and if you let it slip past 45 days you will have to call xbox support to remove the write off

Support is open from 9-1am ET...I am sure you can find some time in your busy schedule to take the 10 minutes to call.  Pick the option billing and cancel account and I am almost 100% sure you will be off the phones within 15 minutes.  I had to cancel mine last week and it took less than 10 during an off peak time.

Like I said, I work full time. I don't have a choice when to call.

That's fine if I stay suspended, why would I care? I don't want the account, I'm done with MS.

I understand mutes would use the same service or a trusted friend/family member. Seriously if you're going to badmouth the service at least do your research first and I refuse to believe you work from 9am - 1am 7 days a week matey.

I didn't have to call a number to sign up I shouldn't have to call to cancel. Having you sit on the phone on hold is how they discourage you from cancelling.

How did I bad mouth the service? I'm just saying there should be an alternative to a phone call.

I only have a few hours to myself after I get home from work, I'm not spending one on the phone.

Already cancelled credit card it's done.

well  when you sign up you would hope that noone but you would know your creditcard info not to mention your login and password to your account when your adding payment info

 umm you should be used to it by now

 

90% of your other services still require human verification for cancelation

(phonecall)

Never had to call when I cancelled my power or my cable but ok.
