CANCELLING MY XBOX LIVE MEMBERSHIP

I'm desperately trying to cancel my subscription so I don't get money out of one of my accounts and get charged by the bank. When I'm on my laptop online and I try to cancel it at xbox.com it says it wants to send me a code to my old phone number that i dont live at anymore. It then says I need to update my contact details but when I do it 'says' it's updating them today but it hasn't yet. I tried updating them over a month ago and it still wont update for some reason. I'm getting no errors that I know of. So it's becoming impossible to cancel it. Phoned the help number but ran out of credit after waiting 3 mins... At a total loss now...Why can't it just ask me security information and let me cancel it???

Suggest you contact a Billing Agent since they can advise of any recent charges when you call as well as help you fix this. You can choose Option 1 after finding your country's support line: See http://tinyurl.com/XBLnumbers ...

but a faster way to speak to an Agent is to go to http://xbox.com - sign in there if you can - then go to http://support.xbox.com/contact-us?xr=footnav#0:2:5

Click on Request A Call and type in a few lines explaining your issue and you will get called back quicker than if you waited in queue on hold.
