Cancelled auto-renew. Charged anyway.

I cancelled the auto renew for my g/f account "shieldsoffline2" which was scheduled to be renewed on the 22nd of November and I just received a charge on my account anyway. What is up with this and how do I go about rectifying this?

You would need to contact support to speak to billing directly and see if they can do anything. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or support.xbox.com/contact-us

Hi there,

It's recommended for billing issues to contact Xbox Support by phone

EDIT: Ninja'd.

It's likely because the billing and renewal date are different. The renewal date only effects the current subscription, but the billing date is always the same.

So, in this instance, her renewal date was the 22nd. If you let the subscription lapse, and decided sometime in the future it should be turned on again, but say on the 1st of the month. It would charge when you first purchased it, and then the next month it would renew on the first. The charge, however, would not process at the same time unless the billing date was also the first. If the billing date is more like the 15th, it would hold as a pending charge until that date hit.

Exactly as Raett said. Your subscription likely renewed before auto renewal was switched off. Just contact support and they might be able to help you out.
