Can't get a gold membership.

When I try to get a gold membership on my xbox a message pops up that says it can't retrieve the information from xbox live.

Disconnect your xbox entirely from the internet. Reset the router and try again.

Should be as simple as that, if the error has to do with your connection.

If status code:80190864 pops up after you keep trying then that means your payment option has a billing violation on it. If that is the case then you need to go to billing.microsoft.com and log in and see what the problem is. If you don't want to do that then you can add an entirely new payment option and pay with that one yet I would still recommend seeing what went wrong with the first one if you decide to use a new payment option.

You can tell he has a violation b/c he is still gold on the forum and is trying to purchase the membership to play. :)

OP has to call support to lift the problem and then can purchase the gold sub or enter the sub card.
