Can't connect to Xbox Live

Everytime i go on holiday and then come back i struggle to connect to xbox live, i have two xbox's in my house, one stright from the modem box into the xbox the other through VeseNet box's from cables through the wall going upstairs. Anyway i understand Xbox Live was down yesterday but when i went on my xbox live app i realised people were finally getting online. the xbox downstairs is now connected to live but the one upstairs (my xbox) wont connect. it fails at the first test. this isnt unussual though as it happens everytime i get back from holiday (strange). But after a while it sorts itself out after about 2 hours. its now been 30 hours and im still without connection.

The Vesenet box's are showing no power light but the link light is lit up. but i stuggle to see what is the matter, yesterday i somehow managed to get both all the lights on and it still wouldnt connect me to xbox live. i've checked my ip address and that seems in order. i just dont understand what the problem is? :(

Hi

Can you take your Xbox downstairs and swap it over with the other one? That way you can find out easily if your Xbox is ok and its the homeplugs

Ok reset the Xbox factory settings back to default and try again , if that fails can you post up where it fails (network/internet/xbox live) after you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

What about the modem, do you also have a separate modem? That is another test to try if you do, power off the modem, connect the Xbox direct to the modem, power up the modem, wait, then the Xbox and try again

Also try different Ethernet cables if you haven't tried that already (try the one that works with the other Xbox)

In that case I would say that your Xbox has developed a fault I'm afraid :|

If a reset to factory defaults does not clear the problem and you are using wired and have tried different cables/different ports/static ip's then it sounds faulty to me

To be extra sure you could if you wanted try it on a friends router but I doubt it will make a difference as your set-up is obviously fine for the other Xbox.

So its a Microsoft repair or new Xbox....
