number inside the usb port door is 319985793805, I'm hoping that is the modem number and/or model.  If not as I said it is a Task Force Modern Warfare 2 - 250 GB console.  I was using a brand new wireless adapter, black in color, but I only used it for one day and went back to wired straight from the router.  The router is a Netgear WGR614v9.  Error Codes I have gotten so far are:

397F-0000-3000-0800-D000-016B

397F-0000-3080-0502-8007-0450

397F-0000-3080-0502-8007-0468

I have pulled the hard drive and put it back in.  I have tried to hook it to Windows Media Center to no luck yet, I believe that it is more my laptop than the xbox console for that problem though.  I have port forwarded (UDP) 88, (TCP) 80, (UDP & TCP) 3074 & 53.

Thanks for following up with the extra information, FrothierComb757. It's much appreciated. So the first thing I'd like to have you try is to try a direct connection between your console and modem via ethernet cable. I'd be interested to know if the problem persists when you try this.

Keep me posted! Standing by. :)

Hey there Frothier!
Are you able to finde out which mark&model of modem you have? When you make a direct connect to your modem make sure that your modem doesn't have a reserved IP-address. Turn off your modem for a couple of minutes to make sure it is reassign with a new IP-address. Go to your Xbox network settings and reset them back to the defaults. Check your Ethernet cable to determine if this could be the cause to the problem.

Is this the Gamertag (Frothiercombo757) that you try to connect to Xbox LIVE on your console with? If so, have you been able to connect to LIVE at all with your account?

It is a 250GB, Elite Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition.  I tried wireless, wired straight to the router, and wired straight from the provider and still the same results.  No my gamertag is not Frothiercombo757 anymore, it is DanQ8000.  No I have not been able to connect at all with either gamertag.  I paid for a full year and haven't gotten to use it yet.  I set the console back to default (just like it came out of the box) still the same thing. I am just wondering if maybe the guyI bought it from fixed it and did not do it right?

what is the easist way to find out the mark&model modem I have or is that make and model?  I don't know if the storage device has been formatted or not? I tried to update w/a usb but for some reason when you start it back up it does not recognize it immediately like it is supposed to.

Now I may be in real trouble, I went to format the storage and it got halfway through formatting and came back with "Can't Perform Action"  "There was a problem performing that action."  Any help would be appreciated on that one
