Can't connect to xbox live

I have not been able to connect to xbox live for the last few days when I try is says "your connection to xbox live has been lost. Please sign in again."  I have run the connection tests and it is able to connect there but will not let me sign in to my account.  I have a wired connection and have not had any problems until recently.

yea I did that too.  I did a reboot of the entire network system including the console

Also check your storage device to see if your profile is corrupted.

On the dashboard go to settings -> System ->Storage ->All devices ->gamer profiles

Check if your profile is corrupted. If it is then delete it. Make sure you select delete profile only.

Next redownload the profile by pressing guide button the select download profile.

Power spikes, brownouts and other natural events can corrupt your profile, and it's AOK to redownload your profile if you want. Also, suggest you clear the system cache before the profile redownload by:

1) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button on the controller, go right 2 clicks to Settings, pick System Settings.

2) Select Storage (or Memory).

3) Move over any hard drive or memory unit (not the Cloud) & press (Y) on your controller & pick Clear System Cache.

4) When asked to confirm storage device maintenance, choose Yes.
