Can't Connect to xbox live wired connection

I was able to connect yesterday all morning and the i left home and came back and tried to play and it wouldn't connect. I've tried EVERYTHING, all the help centers and read forums maybe somebody can help me and please not links to a damned help center it won't help.

do you receive any error messages or codes, so we can go on from that?

No i did not reset the modem/router because it thought it would screw up my internet. and yes i do get error messages.

Is it just your xbox that is having the issue connecting or is every device having connection issues(such as computers, ipad, etc). If the every device is having an issue connecting to the internet then you will need to reset your modem. It will not mess up your internet.

no its just my Xbox I've been using my computer all day no problem

OK so there is the yellow exclamation point and it says in full "To use a wired Internet connection, make sure an Ethernet cable is connected to both your console and you router or modem

Have you had any storms in your area? Please try a different Ethernet cable and port on your router, also try to connect direct to the modem (if that is an option) if you still get the same error message with those suggestions then I'm afraid it sounds like your Xbox is faulty and needs to be repaired.

there's only been scattered thunderstorms here in the 802 and what might need to be repaired

Well it will be the network card itself it would have to go back to Microsoft for a repair
