Can't connect to XBOX live ever since

Since I got my XBOX 360 I haven't been able to connect to XBOX Live. I got the unit 6 months ago but have not been really actively using it due to busy schedules. A few times I have tried connecting to XBOX Live but still my XBOX could not connect.  I have already exhausted all solutions from XBOX support website and even contacted my modem/router (2WIRE) help desk to check and verify my port forwarding setup (ok!) but still cant connect to XBOX Live.

I really hope you can help.  Need advice if the unit is faulty asap so I can return it while still under warranty.

If you have the Xbox 360 S (with the touch-sensitive power button), you need just a connection, and and xbox live account, then you can follow the wizard and set it up easily.

If you have an original Xbox 360 console, you either need to plug the wire into the back or get a wireless adaptor.

If you are wireless can you also state whether you are using the white or black external adapter or the Xbox 360S Internal adapter

What Country/State/Province do you live in? SINGAPORE
Modem brand & model number:  2WIRE 2701HGV-E
Router brand & model number:  2WIRE 2701HGV-E
If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? Internal
Things you have tried: 

(1) firmware update via thumbdrive

(2) On/Off Modem/Router & Console

(3) Repeated Network Connection check

(4) Went thru all the suggested solutions in the XBOX Live support.

(5) Called up 2WIRE support to check if any problem in the modem's port forwarding setup.  No issue found by tech support. 

Is UPnP Enabled? No
Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT? No
Any Error Codes you encounter: Just cant connect to XBOX Live (after Successfully connecting to network and internet)
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? SINGTEL

Enable UpnP I Had that Problem on My PS3. That Fixed it. i still encounter a strict nat on it. Easy to fix though.

Greetings, RoyceShaun! You will need to refer to your hardware documentation for help turning on UPnP. Most hardware manufacturers have websites that include support information as well. If you change the UPnP setting on your network hardware make sure to reset your hardware and test your Xbox LIVE connection again. Hope this helps!

Thanks, Mister Darcy and to all who have responded.  My Xbox is finally able to connect to XBOX LIVE!  The real problem is the UPnP not enabled.  I accessed my modem's firewall setup for my Xbox and "Allowed all applications (DMZPlus mode)" thru.  After that the modem assigned a new IP for the Xbox and that's it! It then connects to XBOX live.
